Whether simple or fancy, it’s really fun to build a house for a fairy. Use your imagination and sticks, bark, stones, moss, leaves and more to create a house for them to hide in! Some fairies might even appreciate a sandcastle! You can build it by yourself or together as a family.
On a day with nice puffy clouds in the sky, lie down and look at the clouds. After a while, you may notice shapes in the clouds. For example, in the picture above, I can see a baby elephant’s trunk. Can you see it? What do you see in the sky? Imagine a story based on the shapes you see. You can tell a family member your story, or draw a picture of it.
Imagine you could be any fairy tale or folktale character. You could be a mermaid, pirate, dragon, princess, monster or something else! What would you be? Why do you want to be that? Tell your story to a family member, draw it or type it below.
Ask your parent or adult for permission first. Try building a fort. It can be simple or elaborate. You can build it inside or outside, using what you have. For example, cardboard boxes, pillows and blankets, even the space underneath the table make good forts. Use your imagination!
